You cannot change the directory numbers of 5560 IPT, 5302 IP, and 5505 SIP Phones from the set. You must change their directory numbers through the System Administration Tool. However, you can register these devices from the set if they have already been assigned a DN (see Registering IP Phones from the Station).
To change directory numbers of registered IP devices from the set:
Navigate to the relevant IP Set form
for the 5001
IP Phone and 5201 IP Phone, use the Single
Line IP Sets form
for all other IP Phones, use
the Multiline
IP Sets form
Delete the directory number to be changed. The IP device resets.
On the IP Device, at the prompt enter the PIN number (the Set Registration Code followed by the new directory number).
Prompts:
the 5001 and 5201 IP Phone displays a solid message light.
all other IP Phones show "Enter the PIN number" on the display.
Complete one of the following:
Press Hold for the 5001 IP Phone, 5201 IP Phone, 5005 IP Phone, and 5205 IP Phone, 5330/5330e IP Phone, 5340/5340e IP Phone, 5360 IP Phone, TeleMatrix 3000IP Phone and 69xx IP Phones.
Press SuperKey for the 5010 IP Phone, 5020 IP Phone, 5207 IP Phone, 5212 IP Phone, 5215 IP Phone, 5215 IP Phone (Dual Mode), 5220 IP Phone and 5220 IP Phone (Dual Mode), 5224 IP Phone, 5312 IP Phone, 5324 IP Phone, and Navigator.
Press OK for the 5140 IP Phone and 5240 IP Phone.
Wait while the set completes initialization.
